Academic calendar and fact sheet

The academic year at Lucerne is divided into an autumn and a spring semester as well as in-between semesters in winter and summer.

Study programme

UTE Lucerne offers an international programme that can be supplemented by choosing courses from the regular course programme. The international classes are held in English. Visiting students usually complete one mobility semester.

Please be advised, that some courses are mandatory for all incoming students.

If desired, we can organise a school experience (half a day per week) within the framework of your semester at PH Luzern. Students will receive 4 ECTS for the practicum.

Financial matters

Students from partner universities study completely free of charge. Students from universities which are not partners of PH Luzern are able to study at PH Luzern as free movers. If the mobility semester is completed within the Swiss-European Mobility Programme, exchange students generally receive a financial grant. The scholarship will be paid through Movetia, a federal foundation, which promotes mobility and exchange programmes.

Applications

The closing date for the submission of student applications for an exchange semester at UTE Lucerne for the autumn semester is May 15th and for the spring semester November 15th.
