Teilprojekt 1

Development of integral ESD Teaching Units in a global context (CAM-CH)

The purpose of this project is to make an innovative contribution in integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into school classes. The core of this project lies in the development of a teaching unit (TU) about the overall topic «Forest and Climate Change» and focusing on Cameroon and Switzerland as exemplary models. The development of this TU is made with a critical and contextual-sensitive exchange of views on ESD learning theories. The hands-on application of this TU is to be made in pairs of partner schools from Cameroon and Switzerland. Within the framework of a project-like and interdisciplinary learning setting that combines different perspectives, pupils from the lower secondary school (Sec) level can deduce the interrelationship between local thinking and global consequences and thus strengthen their systemic thinking. Due to authentic meetings via digital channels and platforms, the languages English and French take the important roles of meaningful communication media.

BNE aktuell

Der Kern des Projekts besteht darin, eine Online-Plattform zu starten, welche Unterrichtinputs, und Unterrichtssequenzen zu aktuellen Nachhaltigkeitsthemen für Lehrpersonen und Interessierte zur Verfügung stellt. Diese sollen es Lehrpersonen ermöglichen, BNE an gegenwartsnahen Themen zu bearbeiten und die Lernenden für aktuelle Diskussionen zu begeistern. Weiter dient die Plattform als Informationsquelle für Lehrpersonen zu aktuellen Themen. Auf Fact-Sheets sollen die wichtigsten Informationen und Hintergründe eines Themas zusammengetragen werden.
